Luliconazole Cream

Luliconazole cream is an antifungal medication which helps in treating many kinds of fungal skin infections. It belongs to the category of azoles under antifungal drugs in treating infections like athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm.

Mechanism of Action

Luliconazole, belonging to the class of azoles or we can say imidazole, acts by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol demethylase.

Inhibition of this enzyme’s activity causes decrease in amounts of ergosterol, which is a key constituent of fungal cell membranes, and a corresponding accumulation of lanosterol.

Side effects
